The scanning mirror applications include ultra-high dynamic, low inertia scanning mirrors for laser processing, streak cameras, LIDAR, security, sensing and targeting applications, where the enhanced flexural strength, homogeneity, high resonant frequencies, ultra-low inertia, and optical surface quality are key.

Description Of Scanning Mirror

The scanning mirror system of Ecoptik (also known as BRD Optical) is light weight rectangular mirror that used for high speed two-axis laser scanning system. The dimensions for each laser scanning mirror have been calculated accordingly with the laser beam size. The optical mirror has high reflectivity of 99.5% or above. The scanning mirrors are usually mounted on to a galvanometer for scanning purposes. For two axis scan mirror, commonly the Y mirror has a bigger size compared with the X mirror. This is due to the fact that the X mirror is used to scan the Y mirror rather than the object directly.
